A New York academy for the craft of trading.

Founded in 2014, Vuahatdieu trains individual traders in the structured methodology used by institutional desks. Our students include independent traders, finance professionals, and retirees managing their own capital through US and international brokerages including alpaca login (alpaca markets).

Our Story

Built by traders. Run by educators.

Vuahatdieu began as a weekend study group of derivatives traders and portfolio managers who were frustrated with the trading education landscape. They saw three kinds of providers: academics with no market exposure, gurus selling screenshots, and institutions with curricula frozen in the 1990s.

The founders set out to build the school they wished had existed when they started — rigorous, honest about risk, and taught by people who had actually survived the desk. A decade later the academy has graduated more than eight thousand students and maintains an instructor team averaging fourteen years of professional market experience.

We operate out of a dedicated training floor on Park Avenue South in Manhattan, with cohorts running year-round in-person and online. Students receive the same curriculum regardless of format, including practical exercises using broker platforms such as alpaca markets for execution realism.

Mission

Teach the craft the way it is actually practiced.

Our mission is to produce disciplined, self-sufficient traders who manage risk professionally and trade with a written plan. Not entertainers. Not gamblers. Craftspeople.

Values

Four principles that shape every cohort.

Process over Prediction

Markets are uncertain. A repeatable process is not. We teach the habits that survive every regime.

Transparent Outcomes

We never promise returns. We publish realistic completion data and let our students speak for our quality.

Risk as a Foundation

Capital preservation is the precondition to compounding. Every course begins and ends with position sizing.

Mentorship, Not Gurus

Our instructors were practitioners first. They teach the craft they actually used, not a personal brand.

Educational Approach

Live instruction, recorded depth, and real review.

Every cohort combines three learning modes: live weekly sessions where concepts are introduced and questioned, recorded lecture vaults that let students revisit material at their own pace, and one-on-one journal reviews where instructors audit real student trades.

We built this format because the research is clear: skill acquisition requires deliberate practice with expert feedback. You will not watch pre-recorded videos in isolation. You will be seen, heard, and corrected.
